Located at the south end of Forsyth County next to Lambert High School, Old Atlanta Park on Nichols Road is the perfect place for you and your furs to take a break! You can take a leisurely walk around their 1-mile trail and have a picnic in one of their two pavilions. This location is ideal for an after work or after school trip.
The trail itself is easy for all abilities. Not only is the entire trail shaded by trees, but it also includes dog waste stations conveniently placed throughout the path. Although the trail doesn’t have much foot traffic, the park does require you to have your dogs on leashes at all times.
The park also has a picnic pavilion next to the playground where you and your family can eat a picnic and play next to your pets before or after your walk.
My dogs, Abby and Bentley, love this park, and they go crazy every time they hear the name. They were so excited they could barely sit still for their picture!
